A 'File Export' window opens up. Select 'Original' option in 'Kind' and 'Event Name' option in the 'Subfolder Format' and then click 'Export' button. This will give you the photos in folder which represents the 'Events' in your iPhoto Library. Now you must export the entire event to Windows PC. Make sure that you have enough storage space on your hard drive before doing this procedure. If you don't have enough storage space, then hust export a few albums from iPhoto and then delete them. If you choose 'Original' in 'File Type', iPhoto will not embed the keywords and GPS data in your exported photos.

I am trying to move my photos from my 4 year old Macbook to my Mac, both of which have iPhoto 11. I was going to do it via firewire, but my laptop doesn’t have a connection. Is there a way I can use an adapter and go through a usb port? If not, what is the easiest way to complete the transfer? I am not a very technology-savvy guy…

Oct 25, 2019  On your old Mac: If you started your old Mac in target disk mode or are migrating from a Time Machine backup, skip these four steps. Open Migration Assistant. Click Continue. When asked how you want to transfer your information, select the option to transfer to another Mac. Click Continue. On your new Mac.

How To Transfer Iphoto Library From One Mac To Another

  1. To move an iPhoto Library to a new machine you will have to link the two Macs together either by a Wireless Network, Firewire Target Disk Mode, Ethernet, or even just copy the iPhoto Library from the Pictures Folder to an external HD and then on to your new Mac… Then launch iPhoto. That’s it.
